A SEARCH is on for a man who was seen being assaulted outside an Oswaldtwistle takeaway.
Police said they were contacted at 10.45pm on Monday after the incident in Union Road outside The Royal Phoenix, near Oswaldtwistle Mills.

A passerby contacted officers after seeing a man being assaulted by a group of men around 10.40pm. The victim then got into a car, which has been described as possibly a silver Audi or Mercedes, with the group before being driven away.
Officers said the men were described as Asian and aged in their 20s.
DC Jenny Berry, of Blackburn CID, said: “At this stage police are still seeking to identify the male who was assaulted and are appealing for him to make contact with us.
“Detectives are also asking for anyone who witnessed the incident to call us immediately.”
