AN OSWALDTWISTLE farm will be home to two new wind turbines if planning permission is granted by the council.
Generation Wind Turbines, based in Burnham-On-Sea, wants to build the 48.01m tall machines at Whittaker Hall Farm in Sough Lane.
MORE TOP STORIES:
“The proposed turbines would introduce a different use, but would remain intrinsically linked with the agricultural use of the land in that they would harvest the natural resources of the land,” documents lodged with Hyndburn Council read.
“The turbines have been carefully sited to ensure they achieve a maximum distance of at least 250m away from Elton Road, Sough Lane, Redshell Lane, and Lottice Lane.”
A decision is due in the near future.
