TWO Accrington men who have gone missing after failing to appear in court have been put on Lancashire Police's "most wanted" website.

Warrants have been issued for the arrests of Wayne Christopher Abbott and George Thomas Cunningham, but police have been unable to find them.

And now detectives hope the website move will finally lead to information on their whereabouts.

Abbot, 23, was born in South Africa but is believed to be in Accrington or possibly Blackburn.

Burnley Crown Court has issued a warrant for his arrest in connection with a wounding offence.

Cunningham, also 23, is originally from Dublin. He is believed to be in the Accrington area and a warrant for his arrest has been issued by Hyndburn Magistrates Court in relation to a theft offence.

The men's details have also been circulated on the police national database.

Inspector John Clucas from Lancashire Constabulary said: "I would appeal for the public to contact us if they have seen either of these two and I would appeal to them directly to give themselves up.

"I would also reassure the public that all methods are taken to track these people."

The 'most wanted' website has been running for a year and has proved successful in tracking down suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01254 51212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 .
