A children’s charity is on the look out for bands to perform at one of East Lancashire’s most popular charity fun days.
Child Action Northwest's annual event, which has this year moved to a bigger location at Great Harwood Showground, promises to attract up to 4,000 visitors.
The fun day’s music stage, which will be hosted by East Lancashire radio station 2BR, will feature music from local bands and performers throughout the day, and CANW (Child Action Northwest) wants to hear from artists keen to showcase their music.
CANW, who work with children and families in need across the county, have been looking for pop and rock bands and solo singers to perform on their dedicated live music stage at Pound Day next weekend.
Paula Riley, Fundraising and Partnership Manager at CANW, who has organised the event said: “We want to make this year’s Pound Day even bigger and better than ever."
Pound Day will take place at the Great Harwood Showground on Whalley Road, Great Harwood next Sunday from 11.00am to 4.30pm.
The event costs £1 per person on foot or £5 per car.
