YOUNGSTERS at a Great Harwood school wrote, shot and directed their own movie under the watchful eye of a published author.
Pupils at Great Harwood Primary School, in Rushton Street, took part in a workshop that aims to bring literacy to life.
Children’s author Victoria Berry’s Darkmoor series of books is being adapted into a family feature film set for release in summer 2015.
With her help, the children wrote their own script, set in the Darkmoor world, before rehearsing and performing their film the next day, in front of a camera and a live assembly attended by parents and the rest of the school.
