TWO people have been taken to hospital with broken legs after a motorcycle crash in Pendle.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the collision in Colne Road between Brierfield and Nelson.
A 62-year-old male driver and 51-year-old female passanger, both from Burnley, are being treated in Royal Blackburn Hospital .
It is believed their bike came into contact with a silver Vauxhall Astra travelling in the same direction towards Nelson.
The incident happened at the road’s junction with Chapel Street and John Street at around 11.30am today.
The road remained closed for more than three hours while the emergency services attended the scene.
A police spokesperson said the driver of the car escaped unharmed.
The North West Ambulance service confirmed that a 62-year-old man had been treated for a broken femur, tibia and fibula.
He was trapped under the car for some time and although his injuries are serious, he was fully concious when paramedics arrived.
Anyone who saw the collision should contact Lancashire police on 101.
