THE mayor and mayoress of Hyndburn have opened Baxenden Church of England School’s new media room.
Councillors Judith Addison and Kathleen Pratt cut the ribbon at the school’s Millennium room.
The room has 22 computer stations, and a ‘big pad’.
Headteacher Christina Regan said: “This has been an exciting time and the children will now be able to access ICT in house, and develop their individual skills more readily. We are hoping to complement the suite with a further eight laptops over the coming months.”
Children at the school will also be raising money for Children in Need tomorrow.
