Pupils and staff at an Altham primary school are celebrating after receiving a prestigious award.
St James Primary has been presented with a Basic Skills Quality Mark Award which promotes, supports and celebrates progress and improvements made by a school in English and mathematics.
Headteacher Peter Williams said the quality mark was just reward for all the hard work put in by staff and pupils.
“We are delighted to have received the award which reflects our continued efforts to improve and move forward as a school,” said Mr Williams.
