Police want to speak to the woman pictured in connection with a £300,000 fraud investigation.

Earlier this year Syed Bukhari, 37, appeared before magistrates accused of defrauding a couple in their eighties.

Bukhari, formerly of Union Road, Accrington, but now of of Deepdale Avenue, Manchester, was remanded into custody to appear at Preston Crown Court.

Now police want to speak to the woman pictured, who has links to Lancashire, Manchester, Cheshire and West Yorkshire, over an allegation she attempted to sell the victims’ house in January. Officers said she may also have connections to an on-going investigation into a similar incident in Preston where an elderly couple were defrauded of their home and life savings in December 2017.

Det Sgt Janette Bashall said: “We need to find this woman and speak to her as part of our investigation.

“If you recognise her I would urge you to contact us at your earliest opportunity.”
