DETECTIVES have issued an appeal for witnesses after a car was allegedly driven at a woman in Accrington.
Police said a 29-year-old woman was driving a Toyota Aygo in Queensborough Road when a man got into the vehicle by a passenger door.
She fled from the car and ran off towards Whalley Road, when the man was said to have driven the Toyota towards her.
He crashed the car into an Audi nearby and is understood to have then briefly chased the woman before fleeing.

Police confirmed the man and woman were known to each other.
Det Sgt Phil McGauley said: "We are continuing to appeal for information following an alleged attempted wounding in Accrington.
"We believe a woman was targeted and chased by a man driving her Toyota car.
"While we have arrested and charged one man, we are appealing for witnesses to come forward."
People with any information about the incident, which took place around 9am on Friday, April 28, are being asked to contact the police non-emergency number 101, quoting log number ED1706716.
