TWO lanes have now reopened on the M65 this morning after an accident.
The crash involved two vehicles and happened on the westbound carriageway at J8 for Accrington.
It caused chaos for motorists using the M65 with drivers urged to avoid the area.
Two people suffered minor injuries and were driven home by paramedics.
An eyewitness said a person was receiveing medical treatment next to the central reservation and one of the cars was facing the wrong way.
Traffic is queuing back to J10.

Recovery are now on scene at the RTC J8 M65 WB. Once they leave the road surface will need to be checked before reopen the c/way.
