ADAM Neal, 30, of South Street, Accrington, was sent in custody to Preston Crown Court when he appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with blackmail and false imprisonment of his former girlfriend.
Neal is also charged with assaulting Lyndsey Vaughton causing her actual bodily harm, breaching a non-molestation order in her favour and possession of a knife.
He was remanded in custody until he appears at the Crown Court on January 16.
