A MOTORIST who crashed into the back of a car in a McDonalds drive-thru had a can of beer in his hand at the point of impact, Blackburn Magistrates Court has heard.
The court was told that Fabian Zielenski was so drunk he had to be physically helped to walk when he got out of his car.
He later failed to give a breath specimen for analysis.
Zielinski, of Windermere Avenue, Accrington, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen.
He was ordered to do 60 hours of unpaid work, pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge and banned from driving for two years.
Kerry Grieve, prosecuting, said police were told that when Zielenski crashed into the back of the other car he had a can of beer in his hand.
She said: “When he got out of the car he had to be physically helped to walk, he was slurring his words and his eyes were glazed.”
