HOLLIE Steel could be set to record a duet with Rolf Harris.

The 11-year-old Britain’s Got Talent star could be set for an assault on the top of the charts after being approached to sing a duet with the star.

Hollie, who lives in Huncoat and grew up in Burnley, has been handed a chance by 79-year-old Rolf, who had Top 10 hits with Two Little Boys and Tie Me Kangaroo Down.

Hollie's mum Nina, 38, said they have been contacted by Rolf’s representatives who want her to sing on a new track he has written called “Opa Jaki”.

The song is about a grandfather and granddaughter, she said.

Nina said: “Rolf’s representatives have been in touch and sent us all of the details. They said he is very interested in working with Hollie on a completely new song that he has written.

“It is a very sweet song and we are definitely going to go for it.

“We are just waiting for the music to come though so she can learn her part.

“Hollie is a big fan of Rolf, especially when he was doing Animal Hospital.”

Since finishing on Britain’s Got Talent, where she was beaten by dance act Diversity, Hollie, who goes to school at Oakhill College in Whalley, has signed with manager Stephen Howard from top agency TCB.

Nina said that Hollie would love to record her first album and dreams of a West End stage role.

She added: “This offer from Rolf Harris would be a good opportunity for Hollie and may help her to keep a high profile.

"We have been contacted by people from all over the world wondering and asking when she is going to do a CD and the support we have had from the public has been great.”
