A CHARITY is calling for new volunteers to help give advice and support those in need.
Maundy Relief Trust in Accrington is looking for people to assist with the variety of ways they help the homeless, those with mental health problems and addiction
The charity has a long history of providing a broad range of support to people most in need, including food, clothing, furniture, accommodation, nursing and counselling services.
New volunteers will receive full induction and training and be offered ongoing formal support meetings.
Outreach and advice co-ordinator, Catherine Haseley, said: “We rely completely on our volunteers who offer a caring and professional service and their contribution is essential.
"In return for a few hours a week new volunteers will gain a broad range of new skills, be part of a really successful team and enjoy working in a fantastic atmosphere whilst doing really worthwhile work.”
Most existing volunteers offer half a day per week although this is flexible.
Anyone interested in becoming part of the team should contact 01254 659686.
