PREPARATIONS are well underway for the 147th annual Great Harwood Agricultural Show.
Held next Bank Holiday Monday, May 25, at the New Showground in Harwood Lane, hundreds of visitors are expected to enjoy a family day out.
Several classes of animals will be on show, while there will also be sheepdog trials, a junior shepherd competition, and the showing of horses.
A craft section will host plant sales, and over 100 markets stalls selling a variety of goods, including gifts, pottery, jewellery, toys, and food.
Other activities include a tug of war, egg catching, a companion dog show, a strongman competition, jousting, ferret racing, a bouncy castle, a birds of prey display, and a trail race.
Community groups and local organisations will also hold stalls, including the police and fire services.
Entry on the day costs £7.50 for adults, £5 for pensioners, and £3 for children.
