The 57-year-old Slimming World worker said: “I am not a career politician and the only degree I have is life experience in the real world, along with common sense and two ears to listen to what people are really saying.

“I will not promise to know the answers to everything, but I will promise to do my very best to find answers to people’s questions.

“This is my home, this is where I live, I do not have famous friends or a large bank balance, but I do care deeply about my local community.

“I want the very best for everyone and I intend to work hard for all and not just a chosen few.”

She added: “We cannot change the past , we can only learn from it, but we can change the future and I believe Ukip is the party that understands everyday life and its needs.”

She is also involved in a number of volunteer roles.
