COMPLAINTS about potholes are set to be addressed in Oswaldtwistle.
County Councillor Peter Britcliffe said he had received numerous complaints in recent days about potholes in the Hargreaves Road area of town.
Coun Britcliffe said he has now flagged up the issues and expects work to begin in the area soon.
The borough and county councillor said the recent extreme temperatures and a long winter had worsened existing problems in the area.
He said: “I have received numerous complaints about the pot-holes in this part of town. I have arranged for the area to be inspected and as a result repair work has been ordered which will take place during the next few weeks. I would like to say thank you to those people who brought it to my attention.
“The long cold winter has made the problems worse. I will pass on all complaints and try to get something done if people are experiencing problems.”
Coun Britcliffe is urging anyone else in the area who has an issue with pot-holes to email Peter.britcliffe@hotmail.co.uk so they can be reported.
