DETAILS of Christmas lights switch-ons across Hyndburn have been released by the borough council.
Accrington’s lights will be turned on on Saturday, November 24, and the rest of the borough’s townships will host their own events.
Council leader, Coun Miles Parkinson, said: “Please go along and support your local switch-on event.
“There are various things planned at different events to get you feeling festive, including carol singing by local school choirs.
“Many thanks to all the councillors, and members of each community, who have worked hard to organise these events.”
The switch-ons will take place as follows:
- Church Kirk, Church, Wednesday, November 28, 6.30pm
- Barnes Square, Clayton-le-Moors, Thursday, November 29, 6pm
- Civic Centre, Rishton, Friday, November 30, 6.30pm
- Manor Gardens, Church, Monday, December 3, 6pm
- Jubilee Gardens, Oswaldtwistle, Tuesday, December 4, 6.30pm
- Dyke Nook Gardens, Milnshaw, Wednesday, December 5, 6.30pm
- Towngate Square, Great Harwood, Friday, December 7, 6.30pm
- Corner of Lowergate Road, Huncoat, Wednesday, December 12, 6.30pm.
