PARENTS have been urged to choose the right NHS service when their child gets ill.
Pharmacists can give advice on common minor illnesses, while people can see their GP if they are feeling unwell and it is not an emergency.
For those with a minor injury, families can visit their minor injuries unit or urgent care centre.
GPs said people should only visit A&E for life-threatening emergencies.
The NHS 111 service can also be used for those in need of urgent medical help or advice but it's not a life-threatening situation.
