A SUPERMARKET in Nelson has created 120 jobs which has helped those who struggled to get employment back to work.
Tesco Metro store which is opening in Leeds Road on February 25 has employed 120 local people to staff the store.
Tesco has been working with the job centre to help recruit people who have been long-term unempl-oyed, single parents and those who have experie-nced difficulties securing employment.
The store is opening on the site of a former Kwik Save store.
Tesco Metro store manager, Candice Burke, 29, said: "We've had a fantastic response with over 1,000 applications."
