PARENTS are due to find out what primary school place their child will be allocated on Easter Sunday.

Lancashire County Council has warned staff will only be available to deal with queries on offers from 8am on Tuesday, April 18.

National Offer Day is decided by the government and this year falls in the Easter holidays.

Debbie Ormerod, the council’s admissions manager, said: “We are legally required to issue offers for school places on a certain day, and this year the government’s recommendation for National Offer Day is Easter Sunday.

“We know this may be an anxious time for parents, and our team will be on hand first thing on Tuesday morning to help out with any enquiries.”
