PRIMARY school pupils from across Blackburn with Darwen have taken part in a singing event at King George’s Hall.
More than 30 schools are taking part in a two-night Big Sing event which kicked off last night and continues this evening from 7pm.
The events are organised by Blackburn with Darwen Council’s Music Service.
Among the 15-strong group of schools that took part last night include Roe Lee Primary, Brookhouse Primary, St Mary and St Joseph RC Primary and Lower Darwen Primary.
Councillor Dave Harling, executive member for schools and education, said: “This is the seventh year we’ve done this event and the days just get bigger and better.
“We usually have an amazing response from the pupils who all seem to really enjoy themselves.”
Schools including Avondale Primary, Griffin Park Primary and Audley Junior will all take to the stage tonight.
Songs that will be sung tonight will include Something Inside Me So Strong, The Rainbow Connection, Dream for your Inspiration and A Mountain Top.
The finale on the night will be Walking on Sunshine, conducted by Louisa Watson.
Tickets can be purchased from King George’s Hall box office on 0844 8471664.
