A PUBLIC consultation is under way in Tockholes over a new playscheme for the village.
A grant of £25,000 has been made available by Blackburn with Darwen Council to give the children’s playground next to The Rock pub a makeover.
Questionnaires supplied by the council have been given to the primary school, toddlers’ group, The Rock pub and secondary school children in the area.
The council will gather the information and request three quotations based on the ideas that have been suggested.
The parish council hopes the refurbishment will be completed in time for the summer break.
Anybody who would like a questionnaire to take part in the consulation is asked to call the parish clerk on 01204 301209.
