Boat set ablaze after being dumped in Hoddlesden

ARSONISTS dumped then torched a 12ft boat in Hoddlesden.

Firefighters said eyewitnesses saw a trailer pull up and watched as the boat was fly-tipped in Johnson New Road before it was set alight around 11.15pm on Monday.

A vehicle was then seen speeding off from the scene The boat, which was considered unseaworthy, was classed as derelict by firefighters who said they would be contacting Blackburn with Darwen Council to remove it.
