A DISABLED man who was locked out of home has praised two school pupils who helped him.
Andrew Brandwood, 48, of Holden Fold, Darwen, realised he had left his house keys and mobile phone at a friend’s house after getting out of a taxi last Thursday morning.
He also didn’t have his mobility scooter, which was being brought seperately by his friend’s daughter.
Mr Brandwood, a retired hotel manager, said: “I was getting worried and thought I’d head to Darwen Aldridge Community Academy to get help when two of the pupils stopped what they were doing to help me.
“They calmed me down, made sure I was all right, and helped me walk into the main reception where a taxi was called.
“Nobody else on the road wanted to help, but these two did. It’s made my month and restored my faith in young people.
“They are a credit to their school.”
A spokesman for DACA said that the two pupils, 16-year-olds Adam Lang and Anna Buckley, would be receiving cinema tickets from the school as a thank-you.
He said: “We are incredibly proud of Adam and Anna.”
