AN MP will host regular question and answer sessions.

MP for Rossendale and Darwen Jake Berry has announced plans to hold regular 'ask Jake' sessions, where constituents will have the opportunity to discuss local issues with Mr Berry in person.

Mr Berry said it was 'important' for him to stay in touch with residents and to be as accessible as possible.

He said: "I represent around 85,000 people across East Lancashire and although we might not always agree about everything, it's really important for me to stay in touch with local residents and be as accessible as possible.

"That's why I hold regular 'Ask Jake' events across Rossendale and Darwen in pubs, cafes, village halls and community centres.

"They give residents the opportunity to let me know what they think about issues that are important to them.

"My next one is this Friday at Crawshawbooth Community Centre, Adelaide St, from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.

"If you have any questions about bin collections, brexit, broadband, or if you just want to say hello, please bob in.

"I'll be there with your local Councillor, David Foxcroft to do what we can to help.

"If you're not free but would still like to raise an issue with me, the best way is to drop me a quick email at jake.berry.mp@parliament.uk
