A MAN has been charged with murder by detectives investigating the death of 23-year-old Jay Jay Livesey Taylor.

Jack Costello, of Victoria Street, Rishton, has been remanded to appear at Blackburn Magistrates' Court today.

Mr Taylor, who is from Darwen, was seriously assaulted in Esco-bar, in The Green, at around 1.20am on Sunday.

A Home Office post mortem examination concluded that Mr Taylor died as a result of a serious injury to his neck.

Police had launched a manhunt for Jack Costello following the fatal incident in Darwen but the 45-year-old handed himself in and he was arrested.

Officers also said two other people arrested as part of the investigation have been released on bail until February 13.

They are a 32-year-old man from Darwen arrested on suspicion of murder and a 30-year-old man from Darwen arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
