A 24-YEAR-OLD man got behind the wheel knowing he had no insurance but unaware he had been disqualified in his absence.
Scott Tierney McKenna, 24, of Hazel Avenue, Darwen, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance. He was ordered to do 50 hours unpaid work' banned for an additional six months and ordered to pay £85 victim surcharge.
The court heard McKenna had been convicted in his absence of two offences of driving while insurance and banned under the totting up procedure. He was caught behind the wheel again a month later when he again did not have insurance.
