A 40-YEAR-OLD man went round to his ex-partner's home after learning though Facebook that she was involved in another relationship.
Blackburn magistrates heard Robert Anthony Early told police he was going to break the other man's legs.
Early, of Snape Street, Darwen, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour in Higher Perry Street. He was fined £120 with £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
Catherine Allan, prosecuting, said when police arrived Early was outside an address on Higher Perry Street shouting at the occupants.
When they asked who he was he said he was 'Mr Bean'.
"He said he was going to break the other man's legs and then went on to explain his girlfriend had broken up with him and was back with her ex-boyfriend," said Miss Allan.
Damian Pickup, defending, said Early and his former partner had been in a relationship for four years.
"She instigated the separation and said there was nobody else involved," said Mr Pickup. "He was looking on Facebook and saw she was in a relationship with her former partner and became extremely angry. He has now moved on and accepts the relationship is over."
