CCTV images have been released following a series of burglaries at a charity shop in Darwen.

A police spokesman said offenders broke into the East Lancashire Hospice Charity Shop in Bridge Street three times in the last month.

The first burglary took place overnight between Thursday, September 15 and Friday, September 16.

The second took place at some point overnight between Thursday, September 22, and Friday, September 23.

The most recent raid took place overnight between Saturday, October 15 and Sunday, October 16.

The police spokesman said: "The offenders took more than £700 from the office.

"On all three occasions, the offender has climbed up the back of the shop and got into the premises through the roof.

"As a result they have also caused damage inside the shop to the suspended ceiling.

"We are keen to speak to the men pictured on the CCTV images in connection with these incidents and if anybody recognises them or has any information that could assist us we would urge them to get in touch.

"Anyone with information can contact police on 101 quoting log 361 of 16th September."
