A CCTV camera at an industrial cleaners is said to have saved the business from more serious damage after a tumble drier caught fire.
Firefighters from Darwen were alerted to an incident at premises off Watery Lane just after 10.15pm last night.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus and using a hosereel and thermal imaging camera brought a fire under control.
Watch manager Tony Keane said: "The fire had destroyed the tumble drier, burnt the gas supply pipe and damaged the electrical supply to it.
"The early notification from the camera and prompt action from the owner ensured the fire was contained to one area and did not destroy his entire business."
