A MANHUNT has been launched after a pharmacy in Darwen was targeted yesterday.
Police are searching for a man who demanded money from a shop assistant at Everest Pharmacy, Cemetery Road at around 5.30pm.

The assistant refused to hand over any money and the man left empty-handed.
He is described as white, medium build, around 5ft 9in tall and was wearing black waterproof type clothing and black gloves. He had his hood up and covered his face with a black scarf and spoke with a local accent.
An investigation is underway and uniformed officers and detectives are conducting enquiries in the area.
DS Melissa Kelly of East CID said: “This was a very frightening experience for the pharmacy worker and I would appeal to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the robbery to contact us.”
