A CHARITY buffet event tonight will raise money towards fixing a man’s home after it was ravaged by fire.
Sean Twomey’s home in Lightbown Street, Darwen, was badly damaged after an arson attack in August.
The former lorry driver had cancelled his home insurance previously having lost his job and been unable to afford it.But a community appeal was launched to help Mr Twomey put his house back together with the hope of having him home for Christmas.
As part of the campaign, the buffet event has been organised at Mr Fu’s Chinese restaurant in Blackburn Road tonight, complete with entertainment, a disco and karaoke.
Tickets cost £10, with £5 from each ticket being donated to the appeal to help Mr Twomey.
