A FUNDRAISING event will be held on Saturday in aid of the Sam Shaw appeal.
Becky Sumner, 30, from Darwen, is hosting the event and is hoping to raise £1,000 for the four-year-old, who is fighting for his life after being diagnosed with high risk neuroblastoma – an aggressive cancer that affects the nerve cells.
The event at the Moonlight beauty salon, High Street, Rishton, is from 3.30pm until late and Becky’s husband, Daniel, will be getting his chest waxed.
Becky, whose son Luke, three, goes to nursery with Sam, said: “I can’t imagine what the family are going through.
“I would hope that people would do the same for us if we were in their situation.
“I keep up-to-date with their progress every night on Facebook and it makes me cry every night.”
There will be a raffle and an auction which will include a Halfords bike, children’s party and a three-night break.
