STACKSTEADS Post Office has relocated – just 250 metres from its former home.
The business has re-opened at Premier’s School Street Mini-Market, 404 Newchurch Road.
The former premises, at 330 Newchurch Road, managed by Coun Jackie Oakes, closed at 12.30pm on Friday.
The new premises will see the post office open from 5.30am to 10.30pm seven days a week.
Regional network manager for central England, Adrian Wales, said: “We understand how important a post office is to residents in Bacup.” At the opening are owner Pervez Iqbal with wife Rehana Tanweer and mayor Coun Amanda Robertson.
