THE funeral of a Brinscall teenager who died when he was flung off his motorbike is being held today.
Ryan Acaster, from Brinscall near Chorley, was riding the mini-moto bike on a dirt track when he collided with a metal wire suspended from two trees, on Sunday, July 20.
The 17-year-old, who lived with his mum, Diane and stepfather, Peter Catterrall, was found lying on the rural path off New Lane, in the Crossens area of Southport, by a passerby.
He had suffered serious head injuries and was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital for emergency treatment but died soon afterwards.
The funeral cortege will leave his home at noon today, arriving at Christ Church at Charnock Richard for the service at 2pm.
