A CAR ploughed into a house and through to the dining room as the elderly driver lost control.
The lady was driving the Vauxhall Agila when she lost control of the car at a T-junction near Foxcote in Astley Village, Chorley, at around 11.40am today.
Watch manager Mark Greenwood, from Chorley Fire Station, said: “An elderly lady was driving a car and left the road, ending up in the front corner of a dining room within a property.
“She’s ok, and so are the occupants of the property, who were in the kitchen at the time. They were all pretty shook up.
“The vehicle was half in and half out of the house and it has caused severe damage to the property. You can see inside the dining room from the road.
“With the aid of the Urban Search and Rescue team we made the property safe.”
