Accrington and Rossendale College is delighted to announce that it has secured the training for 37 apprentices with Manchester City Council for their Manchester Fayre catering service.
Manchester Fayre serve over 27,000 meals in nursery, primary and secondary schools every day.
“We have worked with Manchester Fayre for at least 12 years,” said Danny Booth, team leader of Hospitality and Catering, “previously we provided NVQ level 2 which has been recognised as being of great value hence Accrington and Rossendale being chosen to provide apprenticeships at Level 2 and level 3.”
Danny continued to explain: “They are keen to grow home talent and a high number of students have been promoted to cooks and supervisory positions. One previous student is now an Area Manager.”
Andrea Wimbleton, Catering lecturer at Accrington and Rossendale College, proudly stated:
“We pride ourselves in providing a bespoke service to Manchester Fayre and have an excellent working relationship with them. We are now about to rollout the standards for Hospitality Supervisor Apprenticeships and are developing other new standards in co-operation with Manchester Fayre. We are their sole training provider and worked very hard to achieve this.”
