SELF-confessed ‘massive geek’ Michael Cropper was in the hot seat at Rossendale Business League Network. The meeting, at Rossendale Rugby Club at Marl Pits, Rawtenstall, heard how the digital media mogul likes to make technology work for him.

He has run his business Contrado Digital, based in Blackburn, for just 18 months, but has already been a short-listed finalist in eight prestigious business awards. Michael explained: “I help other businesses increase their revenue through digital media. We run training courses every Friday at our offices to help companies get on board with technology.”

He was quizzed by founder of the league Berni Roscoe about his inspiration and Michael replied: “I am inherently lazy and so if I don’t want to do something I find technology that can do it for me. It means you can do things more efficiently with your time.” Contrado works with businesses of all sizes including one in Costa Rica and another in Portugal.

Business League Network, founded by Berni Roscoe, meets monthly in both Accrington and Rossendale; Rossendale League is sponsored by East lancs Chamber of Commerce (ELCC). Business League Network have further partnered with ELCC to create the BIG League which launches with a free conference-style event hosted by Mercure Dunkenhalgh Hotel and Spa, Clayton-le-Moors, on Friday, March 13.
