East Lancashire based, high fashion brand Mackintosh Ltd. has partnered with Themis, the leading Apprenticeship and business training provider, in a drive to recruit several Fashion and Textiles Apprentices. The heritage brand, established in 1823 makes luxury outerwear which is distributed worldwide. Based in Nelson, Mackintosh Ltd. has a global reputation for quality and attention to detail which has made it one of the most successful UK outerwear brands.

Last year, the company spent £1.4million extending their factory and upgrading their sewing and cutting equipment. They are now looking to expand their highly talented team by recruiting six Apprentice Fashion Sewing Machinists.

Alongside the training provided by Mackintosh, Themis will provide the Apprentices with a programme tailored specifically to Mackintosh and each individual’s needs.

This 12 month training programme will provide successful applicants with the skills and knowledge required to continue onto a long-term career with Mackintosh.

Stephanie Coleman, Themis Sales and Recruitment Manager, says, “These Apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity for young people who are interested in fashion and textiles to secure a long-term future with a well-respected, high fashion clothing brand.”
