East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce would like to make you aware of a new funded public sector project that will cover the cost of high quality, accredited training for your workforce.

Launched in September 2014, Lancashire Skills Support for the Workforce (LCC) is a £5.6m project that will be delivered by some of the county's leading further education and training providers.

LSS has been brought together by Lancashire County Council and the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership, is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and overseen by the Skills Funding Agency (SFA).

Hundreds of accredited college courses and qualifications up to and including level 4 are available to employees, along with specialist sector courses provided by other niche training providers.

LSS has been brought to fruition to help businesses up-skill their workforce and supports the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership's aim of making Lancashire the place for growth. The goal is to help up-skill 3,817 employees in Lancashire.

While not exclusive, the following groups in Lancashire have been identified as priority sectors: • Aerospace • Advanced engineering and manufacturing • Energy, environment and low carbon • Financial and professional services • Creative and digital • Leisure, tourism and visitor economy • Health occupations • Professional, scientific and technical occupations If your sector is not listed here, don't worry, it supports many other sectors too.

The programme will run until July 2015 so be quick. Funds / places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Be quick!
