A WORLD-beating Blackburn manufacturers is in line to scoop another Hive Business Award.

Darwen Terracotta have come to be trusted to work on restoration projects ranging from the Royal Albert Hall in London to the iconic Wrigley Building in Chicago.

The firm specialise in restoration and pride themselves on their ability to match detail, blend clays and mould clay.

The bespoke nature of their products and work means that the firm have come to be recognised the world over for their work.

In recognition of their achievements since their incorporation in 2015 they are this year up for the Hive International Achievement Award.

Jon Wilson, director, said that the firm were delighted with the nomination.

He said: "It is a great positive story, when Shaws of Darwen closed their architectural division we were offered redundancy.

"Instead of losing the jobs and skills we decided to come together and form Darwen Terracotta.

He added: "We're all really pleased with this nomination, we are really proud of our workforce. It is a tremendous and well deserved achievement."
