PEOPLE living in certain areas of Horsfield in Colne will need to vote at a different polling station from now on.

It is due to changes to the boundaries of two of the polling districts.

The next time residents will have the chance to vote is on Thursday November 15, when the first ever Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) elections take place.

Gillian Turpin, Pendle Council’s elections manager, said: “All Pendle residents should be receiving polling cards now for the Lancashire PCC election.

“Please check the polling station printed on the card, as this may be different to the one you have used in the past.

“These changes don’t affect everyone, but if you’re unsure about anything, please call the elections team on (01282) 661662.”

Voters in 41 police force areas across England and Wales will elect their PCC.

The PCC’s role is to hold the police force to account and decide how crime should be tackled.
