A SECOND man has been charged with the murder of Alan Street, whose body is yet to be found.

Ian Palmer, 45, from Whitegate Close, Padiham, spent all of Saturday being questioned by detectives.

It comes after Detective Superintendent Neil Hunter revealed on Friday that three men from Accrington and Oswaldtwistle had been arrested in the last seven days on suspicion of assisting offenders.

Palmer has been remanded in custody to appear before Burnley Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

Mr Street, 26, is alleged to have been murdered at a house in Stockbridge Road, Padiham, on December 21.

Kieran Davison, 20, of Stockbridge Close, Padiham, has also been charged with murder and has appeared in court.

Two other suspects, Peter Leonard and Alan Palmer, are still being hunted by police in connection with the investigation.
