A DRIVER was taken to hospital following a crash in Pendle.
The emergency services were called to Back Lane in Nelson shortly after 8pm on Saturday.
They were cut out of the car, which had come off the road, by the fire service and taken to hospital.
No details have been released over the extent of their injuries.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "Firefighters from Nelson attended the incident and when they arrived found that there was one vehicle involved and which had come off the roadway and was positioned on its side.
"There was one trapped casualty in the vehicle.
"Firefighters used a triple extension ladder, ratchet straps, dewalt saw and holmatro cutters and spreaders to extricate the casualty who was then taken to hospital by paramedics.
"Firefighters were at the scene for approximately one hour."
