AN investigation is underway after an arson attack on a van.
The incident happened in Cambridge Drive in Padiham just before 1am.
Firefighters said a van was found 'deliberately' set on fire on the road and crews used two hosereel jets to extinguish it.
Breathing apparatus was also used by the fire crew from Padiham to get close enough to the vehicle to extinguish the blaze.
A joint investigation will now be carried out into the incident by the police and fire service.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "In the early hours of this morning firefighters from Padiham dealt with a van deliberately set alight at the roadside.
"There were no casualties.
"Police notified of the suspected arson."
Anyone with information about what happened should contact the police on 101.
