RESIDENTS in the Gannow area of Burnley are being warned to be on their guard after a spate of burglaries.
Police are advising householders to be extra vigilant and security conscious after an increase in ‘sneak-in burglaries’ over the last three weeks, which are being linked.
Officers appealed to local people not to make themselves easy victims.
Inspector Martin Melvin advised people to get into the habit of locking doors behind them, even if they are in the house.
