A MAN has been jailed for after admitting to possessing a kitchen knife in a public place without reasonable excuse.
Burnley Magistrates heard how Waseem Raja committed the offence in Fletcher Street, Nelson, on March 7.
On the same day the 28-year-old, of Fletcher Street in Nelson, assaulted Michael Lepage in the town.
For that offence he was issued with a restraining order banning him from contacting Sadia Begum directly or indirectly or entering Fletcher Street.
Raja was also sentenced to eight weeks in prison and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £115.
