A BURNLEY woman has been charged in connection with a number of robberies in Manchester city centre.
Margaret Kaid, of Cairo Street, Burnley, has been charged with two counts of attempted robbery, one count of robbery and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon.

The 48-year-old appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court today, and was remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Crown Court at a later date.
On Wednesday, May 25 the court was told a woman attempted to rob Yorkshire Bank in Piccadilly Gardens armed with a knife.
On the same day a woman carried out a robbery at Santander Bank in Piccadilly Gardens armed with a knife.
And the court heard on Tuesday, May 31, a woman attempted to rob Starbucks on Hanging Ditch.
